Good to know about your interests in marine ecology - a very neglected subject. Would love to see the colourful and a very important part of our ecosystem through your work.
This reminds me of the Sethusamudram project. The Environment Impact Assessment report has acknowledged the presence of dugongs there. However, the report says that when ships are passing through the channel, someone should keep a watchout for dugongs. If they find one, then they should steer the ship to avoid the dugong. It is important that we focus on the marine ecosystem as well.
