The eye of a dragon
ID: Calotes, juv
Had came across a huge number of juvenile calotes all along the trail, but this one was more cooperative and very interestingly in a nice location. With the macro lens loaded up, tried to capture a frame without pushing it off into the bushes, eventually getting this frame with the eye as the main element. Couldnt avoid the distractions though, considering the dense vegetation around it
EXIF:
Canon 550D
Canon 100mm macro
F/10
Shutterspeed 1/125
ISO 400
Handheld, External flash fired
Location: Nagla trail

Liked the details in the eye. Good there was some light on its face. Wish the leaf in the same line of its eye was not present, but as you said not possible to avoid it. I feel just a bit more space at the bottom would be nice as its tips are getting cut. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely eyes detailing with perfect lights and background. If picture was captured with a bit more distance, it would surely be better.

The main point in this image is the head and eye. So just focusing on it in an offcentred composition with lots of space on the right would have been nice. Thanks for sharing.
