A rarity of the trail

ID: Hooded grasshopper

One of the most rarest and beautiful specimen of nature, it literally dropped onto us while capturing another interesting subject. Probably due to the drop, the hopper didnt or couldnt hop off the twig, on which it had landed, giving us the opportunity to frame the unusual beauty and the details of it. One of the frame being this where the lighting was set to capture the delicate nature and the intricate details of the closed wing on the back, i.e. the interesting hood of the grasshopper.

Since I have very rarely come across this beauty, learning about its behaviour and lifecycle would be a very interesting study and would love to know about it from the experts who might have studied them
