Tiger | Tadoba
We had decided to track down tiger cubs and stayed away from the majority of vehicles. The ploy didn't work!
By the time we reached this place, about 12 gypsies got luck enough with this male, and all of them followed him while he walked.
Like always, we were the only ones to miss the sighting :P 20 minutes later, there he was, again.
He came out onto the tar road, and paraded towards us, who were a good half kilometer away. This time, it was just 2 vehicles :D

Nice eye contact and graceful stride. Lucky that your patience paid off :). The light seems to be a bit towards the brighter side, nonethless a lovely image.

Vertical Composition looks nice. Good that you were able to sight him. How long did the sighting last?
-
The walking pose looks nice. Good that you got it walking towards. Wish the light was from behind you. Is this the main road while getting into the jungle? Is this full frame? Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Mrudul. This is on the main road that leads to tadoba from Mohurli. It isn't at the entrance to the jungle...it is about 12-13km from the mohurli gate, after the khatoda entry point :) This one is a 10% crop, from the left and top.
cheers

Can you describe what you did to the background and why?
It is better to wait at a distance from the majority of vehicles to get some better images. Most of the times the dust by vehicles mar the image.

I have left the BG untouched from the original. I will be happy to send across the RAW file for any clarification on it :)

Nice one. Do you use a filter? I found sharpness bit off. I use 100-400 and used to get sharpness issues with a filter (cheap one).

Bhargava,
Not sure why I don't like the background. Since you say that you haven't done any special processing, I take your word. You can send me the raw file, so that I can play and see if anything else can be done to this image.
Cheers,

Nice sighting Bhargava, light is a bit tricky and in such situation one can't do much. I only wish if this guy made a direct eye contact. It would have been a stunner then:laugh:
