Hello everyone!
I am a hobbyist photographer in the US, but originally from MP. I've only gone to bioreserves like Vanvihar near Bhopal and would like to go to a national park this June 2010 to do some landscape and nature photography. Can anyone please provide a suggestion? I know it is close to monsoon season and parks like Corbett will close.
I plan to shoot with a Canon 5DMkII & 7D plus 100-400L, 24-105L & 16-35L.
The widest I'll be is 5DMkII + 16mm f/2.8 and longest with 7D + 400mm f/5.6.

Hello Rajiv,
Welcome to IndiaWilds.
The national parks in South India like Bandipur, Kabini, Nagahole (near Bangalore) are open through out the year. These parks are famous mostly for wildlife photograpgy and landscapes.
Look forward to see your photographs and share your views on the forum.
Cheers,

Thanks for the info Mrudul! I've done a little bit of wildlife photography, but none in India yet, so I am very excited wherever I get the chance to go.

Hi Rajiv,
Welcome to IndiaWilds!
In addition to what Mrudul has said, if you are interested in landscape, you can go for treks in Parambikulam (2 days). Periyar also has option of treks with overnight stays in the forest. Other place in Western ghats is also a possibility.
It will take a lifetime to visit all the places in India. :-)
Cheers,
Sabyasachi
