Nice shot, Bhargava. Wish you had an all-green BG. Nevertheless, you have done well to expose the bird against the harsh sky. A more off-centred placement of the bird would have been better in my opinion... I guess you placed it this way as you wanted to frame it with the tree trunk on the left. What do you mean by "practically full frame"?

One reason is what you said, but to be honest, there was sufficient time to try composing differently as well. In fact, I have a few images with more space to the left and less on the right. However, I find this better as the bird is not perched at exactly 90 deg but is slightly diagonal..
Sry..had forgotten to mention earlier- practically full-frame because I had cropped a very slight portion from the top..less than 5% :)
Slightly more space at the right would have been better. If you are close, what is the need for cropping?

The reason for cropping was a distracting branch at the top of the frame..
