Leopard's lair | Kabini
Made this image during my trip there last month.
To me, as said earlier, the tree trunk in the background is a let down. The one positive side of it I see is when composed vertically, the tree trunk helps a wee bit in knowing the rough height at which the leopard is resting.
canon EOS 7D, canon EF 300 f/2.8 L IS II USM + 1.4x extender III
f/4, 1/500sec, ISO 800, EV -0.3, evaluative metering, full-frame.

Good one Bhargava. You could not have done anything about the tree in the backdrop. :-)

I like the image as is, good to see the leopard so relaxed.

Thanks so much Praveen sir :)

Nice relaxed pose. The greens give a nice feel of the jungle. He has chosen a nice spot high up on the tree to have a good nap :). Thanks for sharing.

Well there are times when one is from a far from ideal situation and nothing can be done. It is nice to see a leopard on a tree enjoying its nap. No idea a time may come soon when their sightings will become very scarce. I am wondering why the leaves have got more details than the leopard. Thanks for sharing. Look forward to more.
