Observed this langur debarking a tree in Bandipur Tiger Reserve on Aug 31st.
It pulled a part of the bark with its teeth and then walked a few paces and chewed it.

Nice documentation of this behaviour. Why does it do this?
I liked last image, which resembles behavior of humans. Men in countryside sit like this on roadside area like bus stops.
I don't think this is common behavior/activity of langurs :rolleyes:
Nice capture. any idea what tree it is? it might give a lead to what it was all about..
