Nice to see a pied kingfisher. I don't remember seeing this from you earlier. It is good that there is some separation between the head and the branch on the left. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely green background. The perch and the eye contact is nice. Seems the light was quite low. Nicely captured. Did you get any with a catch? Thanks for sharing.

Is this from the same sighting where we spent a long time with the bird and also got sshots of it with fish? Agree with comments made. Where is the focus point?
-
No Bhargava, this is actually the trip that i made after that when it was raining. The focus is locked around the beak area.

Good Image. Colour of Pied Kingfisher is combination of Pure Black and White.Black looks dull close to dark-grey.Is this the Natural colour in that region .Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

Just went back and checked some of the older images from this lot and in most of them the black part of the plumage looked dull like this one. Thats a good observation actually. Also referred to one of Bhargava's image from this place and the black there also was kind of similar. Bhargava please share your views as well.
Thanks

Bhai Supreet,
Though Sideview is only shown here ,it appears to me it is a Male.SaktiWild

Absolutely correct, this is a male and after checking the other images its confirmed that its a male with a narrow second breast-band. :thumbup1:
