Leopard in Satpura.
This young female was photographed at 10am walking in blistering sunlight most unlike the normal behavior of leopards. We had given up all hope of any sighting when we turned a corner and saw her walking in the middle of the road 300meters away. She walked a few hundred meters more before making for the shrubbery.April 2017 Nikon 7100+150-600mm FL450mm ISO 800 F/8 1/5000s. She turned for a couple of seconds and between the braking of the safari vehicle I was lucky enough to get this image.

Lovely sighting. Nice you could capture the moment when it turned back. I feel a lesser ISO would have sufficed here. Nicely captured. Thanks for sharing.

Sighting of a leopard in the wild is always a great feeling. I agree with Mrudul that 1/5000 shutter speed is not often required. So a lesser ISO would have been fine. Though the Sun was already up, the face is lighted and doesn't have much of shadows except the eyes. It would have been great if the leopard was walking parallel or a bit angled towards you. At the moment the tail portion is not covered in depth of field. The tail looks unusually muddy. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers,
