Cameratraping bats
Patience !!! lot of patience !! lots and lots of patience.
By far one of the most technically involved photography.
I use two method to do it.
*
OPTION-1
Illuminate them solely using flash, whilst the shutter is held open on a long exposure. To achieve this, I operated the camera in continuous shooting mode, with shutter speeds of between 10 and 15 seconds (depending on how many bats I was expecting). With long exposures, there is a possibility of getting more than one bat in frame at a time, which can be used to great creative effect.
OPTION-2
Connect sensors directly to camera and let it click whenever the beam breaks.

You have selected a very interesting and elusive species. Your patience has definitely paid off, these photographs of them in flying pose are amazing. How llong was the trip? Look forward to more. Thanks for sharing.

This is not easy to shoot. Texture has come out well. People generally try setting the focal plane somewhere close to the entrance along with narrow aperture for deep depth of field. These days the cameras have good high ISO abilities. Earlier these kinds of shots used to have ugly grains due to lack of good high ISO capabilities of the cameras. Thanks for sharing.
