Muntjac
Barking Deer or Muntjac is known to be an omnivorous deer species which also feeds on dead animals.This one was on a more regular diet … a raw wood apple.
Shot in very low light at BR hills.
500D, 55-250, 250mm, Ae f5.6, ISO 1600, SS1/125, -1.3Ec.

Many thanks Roopak Bhai. My initial response was to write more about your photo in its totality.How difficult it is to have an image like this when this mammal's normal reaction to man is instant flight! But my gaze got fixed at the fruit.
M.Krishnan has observed that "Barking Deer are very fond of the fruit of 'Melia composita', intensely bitter to human taste."
Thanks for sharing such an image with so many ingredients in one frame including the the habitat.
