Mongoose
Another one from Kabini
A major handicap during this season is the light. Most of the decent shutter speeds at maximum apreture are over 1000 ISO, which means Noise . . .
400D, Canon 100-400 EFL, F5.6, 1/250, ISO 800
the odd angle was since it was right in front of the vehicle and i was leaning out to get a sight of the same

Wish this was a horizontal frame with space ahead of it. Also there's some tilt, which I think will be difficult to correct without losing too much... Otherwise a good image, great pose etc. I can't see much noise.
The second stripe necked mongoose image I've seen on this forum. Wish I would get to see one of these!:)

I like this image, although I would consider cropping out the puddle at bottom right.
Your EXIF shows 1/250 at ISO 800. You could have shot at ISO400, a shutter speed of 1/125 would have also worked.

Good one. I guess it was close. I wish the tilt was not there. If you correct the horizon tilt, then you will get just the mongoose without much space around it. Ofcourse, its body parts wont be cutoff. After writing this, I thought of trying it out myself. This is what I got. Did you not click it in raw?
