Jungle Cat
This is from the same series posted earlier. The side profile of the jungle cat taken from the launch in Sunderbans. Due to the tree bending to the right, I had to place the cat at the centre of the frame.
Canon 1D Mark IV, Canon 100-400 mm L IS USM, ISO 400, 1/1000, f6.3, full frame, hand held

Great sighting.... beautiful composition.

This was a very sweet sighting. I like the texture in this image. The habitat including the texture in the mud bank has come out well. The jungle cat can easily hide in such a habitat without any trace of its presence being noticed by us. Fortunately, the guide had seen it earlier in that area and we decided to check that area based on his advice. This time jungle cat sighting, hopefully next time the real big cat - the tiger. :)

Nice side view with head turn of the Jungle Cat basking in the morning sun during low tide. This was the first sighting on the right bank after our launch left Sajnekhali Jetty and crossed the river diagonally. I think, the open-chested image posted by you on 15.02.2015 was that of the second Jungle Cat we saw on the left bank of the island. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild
