Terrapin Habitat
Terrapins are the turtles which are semiaquatic and live in freshwater (mostly). They love to bask and can often be seen huddled up in numbers upto 15-20 on rocks and dead tree near water bodies. I was unaware that they migrate waterbodies as well. On my recent trip to BR hills, I noticed Indian terrapins on two occasions crossing a road with no water bodies in the near vicinity. It could be in search of greener pastures, or did I find a couple of vagabonds? :)

Nice image. For a change I like the shallow depth of field here. The touch of green in the tree trunk is nice. Thanks for sharing.

Very nicely composed. Lovely greens. It would have been even better to shoot this from a higher point, to have the water all the way till the top edge.
