Red Ear bull of Corbett
Head on with the giant, tolerant....Red Ear bull of Corbett.
Nikon, Nikor 70-200 F2.8, shot @ 190mm f 6.3, ISO 400, 1/320s.
This shot was taken at Gathiarow. The best part was while was engrossed capturing this giant, the majestic Paarwali tigress silently crossed the road few meters behind our gypsy...to be seen by the driver on his rear view mirror and exclaim tiger...tiger. Did not know what to do... ahead of us the giant tusker heading straight towards us....behind the majestic tigress was softly padding across the Ramganga. The feeling cannot be expressed in words

Moving 'Arjun' MBT in Himalaya foothills. Lovely composition. Heavy built, thick tusks, broad forehead, light pink border in lower edge of ears are notable features.....nicely documented. Thanks for sharing. SaktiWild

Nice on sir . Agree that moments like this become doubly sweet when you relive them over a campfire and even more in the depressing surroundings of a noisy office with never ending work...:001_smile:

Reminds me of our head on encounter with a bull in Corbett last year. What an exhilarating feeling, a magnificent tusker on the road ahead and a tigress behind!!!.Indeed a once in a lifetime experience.
