Deer Mother and Child
Sharing a tender moment. This is a frame grab from the new Canon Cinema C300 Mark II camera that I was testing in Bharatpur. Reduced the size in lightroom.
400mm f2.8 L IS USM lens with 2xIII TC

Nature is speaking through the fawn and deer. Moment nicely documented

The circular frame of thorny shrubs lends an interesting tone to the soft tender moment pictured inside. Why so little space in the direction the mother is looking? Thanks for sharing

The right side was much more thorny and visibility was much lower. Also the deer was resting and not even looking ahead. So I decided to showcase the arched thorns well and give space in the direction the kid is facing. If you look at the linked youtube video, the previous shot had more space and then the fawn gets up and tries to suckle. So moved the camera accordingly.
Cheers,

Nice. The thorny arch made by shrubs and instinctive urge of the fawn to suckle a resting mother have made this image extremely beautiful. The size of the white spots seems to be little larger, as Krishnan has observed in case of Chital in Shivpuri, not far off from Bharatpur. Thanks for sharing. SaktiWild
