Tusker Enjoying in Water
The large flap ears radiate heat to keep these large animals cool, but 27th of April 2016 in Corbett, it was scorching hot day with part of the forest reeling under wild forest fire. This huge bull to cool himself, majestically walked into the flowing Ramganga river, positioned itself in rarely observed postures, sucked water into his trunk and then blowed back to shower with a cool mist. It was a sight that cannot be described in words.

Lovely water spray photographed. You captured the right moment. Seems the water was not deep enough for a full dip, so he had to sit down and also spray water on his back. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely sight. The spray adds to the image. Would have loved to see a bigger sized image. Thanks for sharing.

An image locked in time. Reminiscent of the Terai paradise of yore. Thanks for sharing.
