LRK diary Dec-18
This year missed an opportunity to visit LRK , however got some amazing memories of last year visit hence couldn't resist myself to post this image.
Here a Peregrine falcon flapping to conquest the sky.
The male peregrine is called a 'tiercel' because it is a tierce (one third) smaller in size than the female. Peregrines will often return to the same eyrie (nest) each year.
Canon 5D M IV , Canon 500mm f/4 + 1.4 converter , ISO-800 , EC +1/3 , Hand held , f/8 , 1/1000.

Beautiful pose and eye contact. Good details in the underparts of the wings. The sharp talons look menacing :). Thanks for sharing.

Nice pose. I like the way it is looking. Any selective sharpening of the subject layer? It would have been even better with a prey in its talons. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers,
