The running pose is nice. The eye contact is good. Would it have been better if you had increased the ISO for a higher shutter speed and further narrower aperture? Nice composition. Thanks for sharing.
I like the composition. Has the focus locked on the Parthenium? The gaur looks a bit out of focus to me (??) Thanks for sharing.
It is not a focus issue. However, it appears so due to two reasons:
1. You can see the body portion of the gaur is sharp. The head has clearly moved. A higher shutter speed would have nailed it.
2. The parthenium (you are a quick learner) :-) is brighter than the head of the gaur calf. So gets attention. While processing I thought about it, but didnt want to tone it down.
3. +1/3 EV would have been better.

Thanks for the explanation. I had also thought that the head might have moved due to the running stance. :-)
Always difficult to picture a running animal.Despite the lack of sharpness on the face the picture has come out well......
