Hi Arpan;
Great shot. beautiful bird, and beautiful composition. What's it's Indian / Bengali name?

Superb action-packed image. Lovely composition. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

Nice angle, and the catch is a big plus. I guess you needed a slightly higher shutter speed for a better freeze. Have you run noise reduction on this image?

thanks for the reviews;
Subhash jee - thanks, I think the Bengali name is - Machhmarol; though not sure;
Abhishek jee - I was shooting ruddy shelducks when i spotted it; couldn't change the settings in that time, otherwise I would had used f 5.6... as mentioned, the image is cropped, sharpened and low intensity noise reduction was used...

Lovely shot and wonderful timing. Thanks for sharing

Superb! We don't often get to see them so close and especially at ground level.
-
Lovely moment freezed. Nice low angle and upward wing stroke. Wish there were more details. Thanks for sharing.
-
Lovely picture and nice composition. With the dark's recovered and a little more details (maybe with a higher SS), this would be simply awesome. The low angle and the fierce eyes add to the great picture.
Thanks for sharing

Ahhh .... What a scene! Not often we get to watch this. That is itself a blessing.
I think the focus didn't lock properly on the bird. Else the image would have been superb. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers,
