In transition
ID: Common Rose Butterfly Caterpillar
An interesting sight while exploring the butterfly garden, spotted several of these beauties, in an isolated location, in different stages of life. One of the beauties, framed in the midst of the dried leaf, was seen just emerging out of the older skin/molt. Probably due to this transitional phase, the caterpillar was less active and preferred to stay still, despite the intrusion on form of our camera systems.

Good you could spot it with the new wear and the older skin just lying at its feet (just like removing old clothes :)). Such striking colours and textures on the skin. The pale yellow leaf also provides a nice contrast. Lovely details. Thanks for sharing.

This one has come out well. This image tells us a story about the shedding of the old skin. The macro world is colorful. So if the composition is right then the image comes out well. Thanks for sharing.
