That balanced feed

ID: Four speckled hoverfly

Came across several of these beauties hovering and feeding on the monsoon bloom, along with a huge variety of wasps and butterflies. While busy framing them, this particular one came in very close to the area I was facing and, luckily, stayed feeding on the flower for a longer time, aiding me to get the head-oh shot of the beauty.

Beautiful bright colours and details. The frontal low angle helps to capture its feeding behavior and the needle-like proboscis nicely. Good capture. Thanks for sharing.
