Thanks, I tried saving a smaller file since size. Resulted in a terrible loss in quality.

Ok, I'll try that
Come on, anybody ?
Excellent capture Shyamlaji! Actually I like this one better than the previous one. Reminds me of Bagheera from the famous novel Jungle Book. Thanks for sharing.
Excellent work Samrat !
By any chance do you know Deepak Ganguly ? He does Tiger sketches, especially from Sundarbans.
Excellent pose captured. The shiny coat enhances the muscular frame. Congratulations on the rare sightings and great snap
Beautiful colours. I see a meal worm in it's mouth. Are meal worms naturally available in the area ? Many birds & reptile keepers breed those for feeding their pets.
What a beautiful bird !
Amazing details captured, loved the lighting too. Hats off to you sir !
Amazing Photo ! was flash fired in this photo ?
Thanks for sharing an interesting angle Sabyasachi.
Thanks for your insights Mridul.
PP done in LR CC was some basic exposure, highlights & shadows and some NR to reduce noise and sharpness to give a smooth finish. I didn't want sharp details, just a soft, dreamy appearance on these...
Thanks everybody for your suggestions. I think shutter speed of 1/1000 would have been better since this species never sits still for more than 1 second.
Yes, I am getting an opportunity to come...
Another shot from the local garden. This beautiful bunch was hanging from a branch in a dark corner with a little bit of light on it from the early morning sun.

Captured in a nearby Botanical garden, my recent haunt for closeups of birds.
Nikon D7200, Tamron 150-600, 1/640 sec., f/6.3, ISO-800
I'm not sure if it's a female or a male in transition. A few...
Excellent pose captured, nice details too. I agree with Sabyasachi, a smaller crop to include more background would have been better, unless you wanted to crop out some unsightly / undesired...
I am informed by a friend who also happens to be an Ornithologist, that this mostly looks like breeding plumage.
Thanks Mridul. But it still puzzles me how a bird so wary as this being coloured by someone. I was so far from it still it flew away. Maybe it is more afraid of people since it was captured. I'll try...
Yes, same location. But just abot at sunset and backlit. The Black winged stilt were however captured in the early morning hours.
Thanks Mridul. Yes they're coming in now. But we had a small flock that has been here throughout the year. I wonder how.
This was shot at Bhandup Pumping station.
OH, is it ? I just thought it was a color variation or just some light reflection !
Thanks Disha, I wish I got a higher angle to include its legs. But it was such a hurry and I was on my knees for more stability. The moment I tried a higher angle, it flew off.
ID please. I thought it was a Shikra. I spotted this in a local Horticulture Garden on my way out. Didn't have the time to set up the tripod, hence hand held. The pair had come down for a drink...
