Default Grey heron taking off with fish

This is one of the old images found while cleaning the system. Was wondering how I missed this.

This was captured in Dec 2011. It had just picked up the fish from the water and was taking off.

Thanks Shaktipada. This is Mula river and it was free flowing in the winter.

Quite a big catch. The take off pose looks nice. The water droplets add to the image. Nicely captured. Thanks for sharing.

Nice one, though it looks like a massive crop and details have been lost. . A wider crop would look better. Good to see that it caught a fish. Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers,

Nice one Atul. The water droplets and the fish in its beak add to the image. The wings seem to have lost focus inspite of the high shutter speed. I still have a pending birding session with you in pune . Will call you the next time I'm there. Thanks for sharing.
