    Default The chorus

This picture was taken by my 12 year old son at Nanital during his summer vacation this year. He used his canon 500D with 300 mm canon prime lens. He wanted to take the picture of the birds in close up as he wanted to appreciate the birds tongue , the hard palate . To him it looked like the birds were singing

    Hello Sriya,

    Welcome to IndiaWilds..!!

Quite a interesting first post. Nice calling pose captured. It does seem like they are singing in chorus . The hard palate and the tongue is nicely visible. Is this a crop? How did he get so close? Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for the comment. I am not sure at what distance he was in as I was not with him when he took this picture. He mentioned that he took it with his canon 500D with canon 300mm prime lens. It was in a field at Nanital.Shutter speed 1/1579 , Focal Length 300mm, F number - F/4 , Exposure time 1/1600, ISO - ISO 400. I am not a technical person , I was amazed as this is the first time I am looking at the tongue and hard palate of not humans.

I think he clicked from his hotel room so that he got the birds at eye level. The green portion on the left might be a wall or something. This looks like a crop. Nice to see 12 year old kids photographing. Definitely he will do well.

I dont understand by the term crop. Does it mean the picture has been cropped or is it filed ( crop )

If it is picture then - I am certain it is not a cropped one it is the original one as I uploaded the picture

    Nice close up.
A little child has taken this photograph.I have a feeling that a child instinctively puts emphasis on pose. What a pose! Some resemblance with human baby,as if he is waiting for the next drop of honey! All our best wishes for the budding photographer.

I would like to thanks ever body who have taken the time to comment on this picture. This is a big boast for Vikas Madhav. I could see him in all smiles when he read the comments. He is very thankful to the members who have given him tips.

I just mentioned to him that if he concentrates on pictures with action it would be great , ever since , he has begun to take such pictures . Birds are his life and breath.
