Default The Spot Light in the Woods

This picture was taken in Nellyampathi during our trip with Madras Naturalist Society (MNS ) last October ( 2011) I like to take pictures of landscapes and natural setting. The aim of this picture was to capture the filtered light source and the spot light. Guess , I have achieved this , but I wanted much more clarity in this picture and I am lost as to where have I gone wrong .

The spot light looks nice. The shutter speed was quite less. Using a higher ISO and a narrower aperture would have helped to get more details. Thanks for sharing.

Also, some more contrast would have been better here. The sunlight filtering through the canopy has been photographed countless times and will continue to be photographed for ages. It is a theme which will always keep us interested. He needs to experiment. At times from a lower angle, higher angle etc.
