Default Male and female Streak-throated woodpecker with bills engaged

This was during the Indiawilds meet. Male and female Streak-throated woodpeckers had engaged there bills. The engagement lasted only for one second. As this action was far away could not get a clear idea of was happening.

Disappointed with myself here as this image is out of focus, felt could have done better here.

Nice moment captured. The composition looks fine. There is some noise due to the crop. Thanks for sharing.

great capture... am sure you didn't have enough time to position yourself for a better angle.... as you have mentioned that this hardly lasted for a second....

At times it is better to look through the lens. I was not clicking and was watching. However, the scene was too far for my naked eyes. Light was low. Wish there was better light and higher shutter speed to freeze. Thanks for sharing.

Nice moment Atul... even i got a blurred shot, the low light didnt help either. But it was wonderful watching them as they danced around in the rain with the greens, almost like a bollywood song and then the tender moment....

To kill the romance ritual courtship feeding is common in woodpeckers this looks like it.
