Default A Nilgiri Tahr and its Abode

About a 1000 Nilgiri Tahrs live in Eravikulam NP.The park came into being in 1978 and it seems the efforts are paying off.The Tahrs inhabit the Western Ghats at a height ranging from 600-2700m.(The highest peak south of the Himalayas,Anaimudi, towering at a height of 2690m is within the park.So obviously they cant climb more than that!).......

Nice display of habitat shankar sab.Like the compo. I guess a bit wider app wud still give you the required DOF and a better shutter speed.

Nice environment image. Nice pose from the tahr. Not sure if the focus is locked on the Tahr (?) Do you have more compositions? Thanks for the info.

The sharpness of some of these lenses goes down in such narrow apertures. Shutter speed is more important. 1/30 shutter speed was not good enough to capture motion. Nice to see the habitat. Thanks for sharing.
