This is nice shot...Lovely frame, good that you got the eye contact.
I like the orignal one, but with bit more contrast, also I think you can sharpen it....

I have found jackals most of the times in the Shehra area.

Did you use the white balance preset to shade? Once the white balance is corrected and the exposure increased by about 1/3rd stops one can find that the eye is in focus. I would also increase the contrast and sharpening. Thanks for sharing.
