    Tried Macro photography for the first time, shot this at my friends resort. Macro experts id this and also provide tips, I plan to get seriously into MACRO WORLD

    Might be Catopsilia pyranthe (Common emigrant) but not sure. Better wait for confirmation. There seems to be a bit of shake in this image. Probably the butterfly was too quick for 1/200. These insects are usually not very still, and one has to be careful to keep it within the available DoF. Shooting from a greater distance (composing accordingly, ensuring you don't have to crop) may solve the DoF problem to some extent. The legs in mid-air add a touch of humour .
