    Default Flehman's response in tiger

The Flehmen's response- A phenomenon exhibited by cats in which they draw back their lips in a manner that makes them appear to be "grimacing" or "smirking".The action, which is adopted when examining scents left by other animals either of the same species or of prey.. Flehming allows the animals to determine several factors, including the presence or absence of estrus, the physiological state of the animal, and how long ago the animal passed by.Response also observed in stallions, goats n young elephants.

Nice behavior captured. The vertical composition with the tree on the left looks nice. Where was this photographed? Please do post your equipment and EXIF details. Thanks for sharing the detailed behavioral information. Look forward to more.

Very nice behavioural record. There is a thread discussing Flehmen response in the Natural History section: Tiger: Sense of Smell - Flehmen Response - IndiaWilds- Conservation & Nature Photography Forums

Nice to see this. A bit of correction of the colour temperature will be nice. Thanks for sharing.
