This was photographed at Kgudi, Barking Deers are very shy animals, normally its very difficult to sight in the forest. Kgudi is the place where these species are very commonly seen.

Nice that you got this guy in the open. Composition looks good, habitat well portrayed. Positive Exposure Compensation by +0.3 would have helped here. Also I feel the focus could have been better. TFS !

Nice you could get this usually solitary deer in the open and photograph it. Pose and habitat look good.
Duncan Brander points out,it keeps more or less to the same area.

Nice to see it in the open. Nice display of habitat. Seems you were not expecting it. The shutter speed was quite less, using a higher ISO would have helped. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with the previous comments. One can see many barking deer while entering the forest. Earlier it was not the case.
I agree that the image needs to be a bit brighter.

Nice image Sucheth. The habitat looks lovely and the sudden noise of your vehicle seems to have alarmed the deer. I agree that at one point of time barking deers used to be elusive. Nice to know they have increased in numbers, hope their predator's numbers also rise. Thanks for sharing.
