    Default Bandhavgarh memories

Wild tiger cub with tendu leaves. Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve. Panthera tigris tigris.

This is an old image. I was using EOS 1V HS and had just got my digital body EOS 10D. This is from EOS 1V HS. My last film camera. I used Canon EF 300mm f4 L IS USM lens.

This is scanned from negative. I was using slide rolls. After the slide rolls got over, I started shooting in this negative. The scan was somewhere in my files and I found it now.

The only specs I can tell you in ISO 100, f4 and probably 1/45 or 1/60. I remember taking utmost care to click.

    Cheers,
    Sabysachi

Looks good. It will be interesting to know which year this was shot in, and also any identification of the tiger.

Nice image.Details have remained fine.Possibly colour in the negative print has become dull over years. But if a fresh print from the film is taken and scanned, the colour will definitely be as original. But where is the time!
In Kolkata, one gentleman who was manually developing and printing from negatives has closed down his in-house shop when I went to him recently.Along with that goes the skill he acquired for three decades.

This was in umraha area of Bandhavgarh. Photographed in 2005. These cubs are of Sehra Tigress. She is the sibling of Rajbehera Male (popularly known as Bokha). Both Bokha and the Sehra Tigress were known to express their annoyance at tourists.

I agree with Shaktipadaji. I have no idea where to get my slides and negatives scanned. A good drum scanner is needed to scan. Apart from the scanner, it is also important to have the person with the right knowledge to do it. Prints from negatives have become tough as the demand has died down.

Nice image Sabyasachi. Seems to be a good scanner , the image has been converted well. Nice inquisitive look of the cub. Thanks for sharing.
