    Default Bend like the Willow

    Photographed near Polem beach, Goa.
This was the only large tree growing on this rocky shore. Trees growing in very windy conditions like this grow with a bend in the direction of the wind, to reduce resistance.

Very narrow crop from the left. B&W treatment.

    Thanks, C&C welcome.

Nice composition. Looks like a painting. Liked the way you have framed the tree between the two cliffs. The b/w treatment gives it a different feel, but I would like to see the colour version too to compare. Thanks for sharing.

Nice composition.Caption fine..........and the tree is praying to the Morning Sun everyday:
"Oh New Sun, bless my branches with light and rays, with light and rays......"
The Sun listens, the branches grow vertically.
    Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

    Default Colour version

The colour version for comparison. This was shot in harsh light and I had underexposed the image as I had planned to change it to monochrome. Thinking now that I could have underexposed it a few stops more to get more details in the clouds.
Forgot to mention that it is slightly cropped from the bottom as well.

Nice composition. The bent tree is well spotted. May be complete backlight situation would have been much better here. Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers,
