    Default Stripe-necked mongoose

    Photographed at Bandipur, This guy was busy in eating insects in the Elephant dung, once in a while he use to look here and there and continue to search.This was from my Archive(2011)

    Nice behavior captured. I was not aware that mongoose might be eating insects from elephant dung. The eye contact is nice. Seems it was a bit far. Thanks for sharing.

    As it also hunts insects, it has found a readily available source. And the behaviour has been nicely recorded. The eye contact of one is nice. It looks darker also. It is almost twice heavier than the common mongoose. A good predator too.
