Default Juvenile Black Crowned Night Heron

It was an overcast morning. This young fellow was looking for food. Generally night herons feed during the night. Looks like he didn't find sufficient food during the night. Observed him for about half an hour, he was moving around looking for food. Not sucessful though.

    Please critique !

The raised paw looks nice. Good eye contact. As this is a crop, some more space on the right would have been fine. Thanks for sharing.

Nice Image Atul. I like the raised paw. Perhaps a +0.3 Exposure Compensation would have been better here. The composition is nice. The small bit of land near the paw is slightly distracting. Overall a nice image. Thanks for Sharing.

If that small piece of rock that Bibhav is referring looks like a very colourful croc's head. That rock does attract a bit of attention. At times while shooting it doesn't become apparent. A slightly lower angle would have been great. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah Roopak, this should be little heron. Checked it up again, it appears I had made a mistake in the initial identification.

If this is a little heron, then the behavior was normal.

    Thanks for pointing that out.

Mrudul, could you please get that corrected.
