    Default Grub ... Near Thekkady

    I saw this grub worm at "Parunthumpara" about 40kms from Thekkady.

    Canon 400D,55-250IS,1/100,f5.6,ISO400,cropped

    It is a grub (not a worm, as worms are an entirely different group). This is a beetle larva, probably from the large and diverse Scarabaeoidea superfamily. Nice documentation of the spiracles (breathing pores) along the side of the body.
