Nice to see it with a catch. Good perch and eye contact. Wish the light was less harsh. Just a bit more space at the bottom would be nice. Thanks for sharing.

Nice image Atul, Focus is very sharp, The colors at the back of the birds are washed out due to harsh light. Good use of 400mm, ISO could have been reduced to 100 here, thanks for sharing.

    Thanks for the comments.

    Rupak, rightly said.

Although the bee eater catches bees/small insects more frequently as compared to dragonflies; a dragonfly catch can be spotted easily and is much easier to photograph bees/small insects.

Have got some images of bee eater with small insects. Will share then soon.

Nicely done. Agree that the light is harsh but you have managed to control the exposure well here... the black band is not always easy to expose correctly. Love the sharpness of the image too.
The vast majority of birdwatchers nowadays try to cover maximum ground in very little time, trying to record as many species as possible. However, patient observation of one or a few species, at a fixed location, is much more rewarding in terms of the knowledge one gathers about their behaviour.
