Here is an image on of a little egret (Egretta garzetta) with a motorcycle. Thrash is often dumped in the rivers polluting them to a great extent.

A sad reminder of how unconcerned our authoriities are about dumping of garbage and junk.Water bodies take the brunt of this. people somehow feel that by dumping something in water it simply disappears. Also shows why so called management of hazardous wastes is a thriving business in India.

Sad state of affairs. Money without responsibility and accountability is causing irreversible damage to society and environment. We may not shift all our responsibilities and put entire blame on the governing bodies. Am I not afraid of raising my voice when minimum civic sense is not being maintained just in front of me even when I could do something in my individual capacity? Larger issues like this could only be tackled through civic societies or forums joining the struggle and involving concerned authorities.

Really sad state of affairs. When these things are dumped into our water bodies, the amount of damage caused is enormous. Our rivers, lakes and other water bodies along with the underground water is becoming toxic. We are harming ourselves and the generations to come.
