    Default Life on a Lamina

A pond skater (family Gerridae), a common bug that lives on the surface of ponds. They feed on flies and other insects that fall into the pond, occasionally resorting to cannibalism. The body of this bug is so evolved as to afford a much greater degree of stability and control on the water compared to other insects.

Processed this one without any noise reduction. It does appear grainy in some parts, but I find it still very usable. Let me know your opinion.

    Thanks, C&C welcome.

Nicely captured. Good details and composition. The reflection and the slight curves on the water look nice. I feel the image looks fine, no noise reduction is needed. Thanks for sharing.

Moody image. I like it. Did your lens had water droplets?

    Sabyasachi,
No water droplets on the lens, the bokeh is from the sky highlights through the canopy, reflected on the pond.
