    Default Indian Fox

Photographed in the Greater Rann of Kutch last month. This was taken early morning when we sighted it sleeping in the bushes. It got up saw us, and then again continued with its sleep. Nicely camouflaged in the bushes, it was very difficult to spot.

Canon 1D Mark IV (shifted from 50D to 1D Mark IV), Canon 100-400mm L IS USM, ISO 400, f8, 1/640, hand held, full frame.

    Comments and critiques welcome..

Congrats on your new gear Mrudul. Indeed its very well camouflaged. One can easily miss it while in a vehicle. Good that it checked you out so that you could get its images looking at you.The ears are nicely framed in the alert I hear you position. Thanks for sharing.

Nice image of Indian Fox from GRK. The habitat looks so natural. Depending upon location and season, the colour and coat of Desert and Indian foxes vary so much. In this image the colour of the tail is not that blackish. Nice ears with luxuriant hair on the inside. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

Congratulations on joining the 1D club! This is a nicely made image, and it will be interesting to see a version of this with slightly lesser space at the bottom and to the left.

Well done here Mrudul, this is well framed and the mood is nicely set. The eyes of the fox are still sleepy and matches perfectly with your narration. Congrats on the new gear.

Cute factor written all over this fox. Tough to locate them due to their camouflage and also due to their small size. The high ISO performance of the 1D is much better than the 50D and can be seen here.
