    Default Crow Pheasant- Bharadwaj

    This snap taken in a suburb of MUMBAI...
    right in my society... nxt to my window...
    amezzing bird....
    infact i used my laptop...(by playing call of crow pheasant from an audio file )
    to make it come close and in open... so tht i can click, as i just have a basic lens of 18-55... and couldn't have zoomed to click such a beautiful bird.
    still i have croped the image.

    Sachin,
    Few things to note:

    Lighting: The light was against you. So the subject was not lit properly. Also, the photo needed more exposure. After taking the photo, if you find that the image needed more light, as in this case, then you have to add more light.

    Do that by using the EV button. You have to dial about 2/3rd stops. Check your camera manual for exposure compensation. Some details about your camera is given in the following link.

    Composition wise, the subject is nearly in the centre. You can place it off centre. Placing the subject in the centre doesn't always create a pleasing image.
    So try to place this one more to the right with space in front of it.
