    Default "the dragonfly"

    This shot was taken without a macrolens actually,that's why this image doesnot look like good macro image,but i like this shot.

    Nikon D3100;
    NIKKOR AF-S 55-300mm f4.5-5.6 vr;
    1/1200s,f5.6,iso 400,A mode;
    croped & minimally processed in cs5.

    The wings have come out well. Wish it had been facing you, that would have enhanced the composition further. Some more all around would be good. Thanks for sharing.

    When the distance is less you need to increase the aperture ie. narrow lens opening like f8, f11 etc to get more depth of field. Having the subject parallel to the camera sensor would have given you more depth of field.
