Image of the Month: Jan 2013
We don't see this species often. Desert Gerbil clicked at Bikaner by Anshul Jain has been adjudged as the Image of the Month for January 2013.
I loved the pose and the action. This shows us that even small animals can give us images with nice behaviour and action instead of a charismatic animal looking to its left or right. Too often we ignore species other than the Big five and beautiful birds. It is time we understand their importance in the overall scheme of things.
