    Default The burst

Another interesting flower I came across during the recent trip to Matheran, along with Rajeshji and two of his nature enthusiast friends. Loved the way it bloomed as if firecrackers blow up. Couldnt get the scientific name of this flower as am completely illiterate in Botany. Would love to know its local or general name too.

Lovley. It looks like the image of sun we used to draw in school . I think a vertical composition would have also worked here. Nice clean background. Did you try a composition with the white tentacles (?) in focus? Thanks for sharing.

The dead branch on top mars the view. You needed a macro here to create some lovely stuff. Moving to the other side would have been nice as this was a backlight situation.

If am not wrong, it may be the flowers of Adina cordifolia, Rubiaceae. Nice picture, a macro would have been great
