Default Cattle Egret vs Red Wattled Lapwing

Red Wattled lapwings.. very very protective about their nests.. they can take on any mammal or bird to protect them.. they have their nestings on the ground and most of the times are not clearly visible.. same thing happened with this Egret this just landed casually on an island in the back waters of Kabini, the moment this has landed the lapwing started irritating and chasing the Egret away.

Over exposed shot.. fixed a bit in PP

Nice behavior captured. The alarmed pose of the egret is very interesting. Is there a tilt? Thanks for sharing.

It would have been nice if you had a narrow aperture like f9/f11. If both birds were parallel to your lens, then that would have been great. Thanks for sharing.
