    Default White Ibis

    often known as black headed ibis
    Scientific name: Threskiornis aethiopica

    Its size is about 75cm, body white. The head, neck and the long curved bill is black in colour. Found in rivers, marshes, lakes in India and Srilanka.

    Canon EOS 1D Mark II, Canon EF 400mm f2.8 L IS USM, EF 1.4xII ie. at 560mm, ISO 200, f5.6, 1/1600, full frame. Used tripod in a swaying boat in Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary.

    Saby, a very nice and sharp image. The water dropping from the mouth makes it a live.

    Lovely composition. The low angle and the water droplets enhances the image further. I think it was quite far for me to photograph. You got a nice one.
