I believe this was the sighting of a Sloth Bear after 6 months. After this in last week i believe it had made an appearance a few more times.

Nice sighting. Its good to know that sloth bears sightings has increased in Kabini. Tough conditions to compose, as the tree divides the frame into 3 parts. Maybe moving the camera more to the left would have helped to remove the open space on the right (by framing with the bark on the right). How long was the sighting? Thanks for sharing.

Good to know that you saw the sloth bear in kabini. What time did you sight it? It would have been nice to see it even closer and in the open. Dunbar Brander had written a lot about Sloth bears and their habits etc in the book Wild Animals in Central India. http://www.indiawilds.com/diary/wild...central-india/
