Default Cooing of Brown Hawk Owl

Recorded at around 1 AM night. At day time the calls are different. There is considerable ambient noise in the surroundings and a dog barks at a distance too. At the end of the recording another bird came near the initial one and they had some chats...I didn't have an eye contact with the singer even though there is little moon light. pls comment. I have posted a picture of the bird days back here.

Nice recording. In the first post, the cooing is audible, but a bit distant. The second post it is much more clear and loud. Thanks for sharing.

Nice to hear the owl. Were you using image stabilisation of the lens during recording? How far was the owl? In the second version, raising the levels makes the owl call clearer.

Nice to hear this. Although B hawk owls are common here it has been sometime since i heard this call. However the nupital calls are heard very often esp in summer. Thanks for sharing
